Hello everyone!
As you know, our task was to find #metoo story which would match the profound emotions. So, I found the story of a young girl, her name is Cassie. We know that such stories are about sexual harassment but Cassie's one is completely full of harassment, carelesness and disrespect.
Cassie was harassed for a long period of time by two men on her work. She had to listen their unpleasant remaks about her body and appearance, ideas of what they would do if they could had her and so on. Then she was physically abused by them several times.
This story shocked me and I can't believe that such things happen in our world. What can we do with it? First of all, we shouldn't keep silence we should talk about our problems. Second, we have to pay attention to problems of our society and don't be indifferent, if not we then who would solve our problems? Finally, we have to start from our families and teach our children to respect people.

Nuriza, thank you for sharing this story. It's shocking Indeed. What I keep thinking about is the extent of this problem around the world and the attitude to it in Russia. It seems to me in Russia it's a huge taboo still, with numerous cases of women's abuse and harassment remaining not investigated at all or being dealt with from the position of women's responsibility for it. I often wonder what should happen in the Russian society for the situation to change. It's a long and thorny path, I'm afraid

ОтветитьУдалитьit's a pity you do not write and share your works on a regular basis. You can only improve all the language skills by practising them: speaking through speaking; writing through writing and so on. I'm urging you to read the description of the project the materials for which you should collect during this week. Check the details in Post 11: Vocabulary-learning-project
